The spoon bears the maker’s mark “IR over IW,” identifying it as the work of John Robertson II and John Walton. John Robertson II, who took over his uncle’s business in 1811, formed a partnership with John Walton in 1811, which lasted until 1820 when Walton withdrew from the firm.
